Microtox is a precise artistic approach to rejuvenation and skin tightening of the face. The Microtox technique lifts and firms up the skin while decreasing pore size, reducing skin laxity and skin redness, and clearing up fine lines, wrinkles, creases and crow’s feet in the process.
The non-invasive treatment combines the skin tightening benefits of Botox with a unique pattern of injection and minute doses of Botox or other similar products. Instead of injecting the product—whether Botox or Dysport—into the muscle itself, Microtox injections are done just beneath the surface of the skin.
Microtox Treatment
If you’ve ever had microneedling, you have a good general idea of the procedure and what to expect, even although Microtox is more selective and targeted. Additionally, instead of simply pressing very fine needles in the skin to produce controlled micro-injuries, the fine needles used in Microtox act as injection conduits for a solution of dermal fillers and neuromodulators to refresh and rejuvenate the skin.
A special set of tiny needles (each one thinner than a human hair) are used to precisely deliver the neuromodulator and filler cocktail of choice to just below the epidermis, where the sweat and oil glands reside.
Many people avoid Botox injections because it can sometimes limit muscle movement, temporarily “freezing” their facial expression, but this can be avoided completely as Microtox does not affect the major facial muscle. Microtox can be used to atrophy the sweet glands. Which can halt sweat production in some areas. Because of this, it can be effectively used to treat excessive sweating. It can also reduce oily skin, which in some cases can prevent acne breakout.
